Upcoming changes to Ship Confirm and Valid Tracking Rate requirements on your Amazon account
We continuously strive to find ways to improve customer experience. For items that you deliver directly to customers, providing details to enable the tracking of the delivery i.e. a delivery service provider name, the delivery service/ship method, and a delivery tracking ID not only improves the customer experience but also helps protect your account health metrics. By contributing to overall customer satisfaction, this information reduces the likelihood of negative seller feedback. A tracking ID also helps reduce order defect rate and is taken into consideration in addressing A-Z claims.
Therefore, we wish to inform you about the new upcoming requirements to Ship Confirm and Valid Tracking Rate that will become effective from April 19, 2021.
Starting from that date, we will require the following information during Ship Confirm:
- The name of the delivery service provider and the specific delivery service used for all merchant fulfilled orders; and
- The tracking ID for merchant fulfilled orders that are dispatched with a tracked delivery method or the unique parcel ID (located above the 2D barcode on the label) in case you use the Royal Mail 24®/48® delivery methods.
Additionally, you will be required to reach 95% Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) on your domestic deliveries through Amazon.co.uk over a rolling 30-day period i.e. if you dispatch from an address in the UK to a delivery address in the UK. We will measure the VTR for merchant fulfilled deliveries at a category level. VTR will be measured on all domestic orders delivered through integrated delivery service providers where Amazon receives scan information.
For more details on Valid Tracking Rate (VTR), refer to the Help page.

There is no mention of the question everyone is asking.
We need to know, that if and when Royal Mail do not scan the barcode, what can we do about this ?
This is not our fault and we are being put the blame for Royal Mail not scanning. Even though, we have valid tracking ?!

Hello,
Please can you confirm if we purchase Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail 48 (CRL) via an API through Amazon buy shipping and Royal Mail do not scan the item upon delivery (Which is through no fault of our own), this will not affect our VTR rate?
Thanks

as with all half assed ideas on this site it is being rolled out and no one knows what to do to keep your account right including the dreadful seller support who have no idea of how this works.
ie if you only send with a serice that does not have tracking does this mean in a month that you cannot sell on this site? which items are exempt? to put traking on my own items would make them unbuyable on Amazon as they would be too expensive on the lus side it would drive buyers to my other sales channels not sure how that is good for Amazon buyers?
does it mean that buyers will have to pay a larger price to buy from Amazon? as they will be able to buy the same product from the same seller much cheaper on other sites how is that good for buyers?
I expect to get no response from Amazon to any of these sellers as Amazon have totally disconnected communications with sellers. The best solution seems to be either raise your prices to cover the costs of putting tracking or to close your Amazon uk account or maybe someone can come up with another solution?

My rate has already dropped to 91% over a week due to Royal Mail not scanning the barcode. I contacted Seller Support and they said Ive to take this issue up with Royal Mail. All my items have valid tracking but If not scanned I will be penalised. They saisdthis metric is not being enforced yet - I asked if anyone else had reported this problem and they said not to their knowledge! glad I saw this thread…

We use a third-party courier that uses DX and DX secure. Due to our items being irregulars we find it hard to find couriers.
We have full tracking information with scans but they are not recognised by Amazon.
How is this going to affect us and how do we sort this problem?

AMAZON PLEASE CLARIFY THIS…
Royal Mail 24/48 purchased via Amazon Buy Shipping… is this VALID AUTOMATICALLY even when there is no Royal Mail end delivery scan?

What is the point of posting this again, when it does not address the many issues sellers are having? Waste of time

I don’t know if I’m being stupid but… If I purchase 24/48 Tracked on C&D as a guest how does Amazon receive scan information? This makes me feel I am wasting my time using C&D. Now I don’t know whether to revert to buying LL tracked on using Amazon Buy Shipping and run the risk of the postie not scanning the package on delivery! Why oh why has Amazon gone out of their way to shaft us all?
