Amazon Business Account (As in, as a buyer)
Hi guys,
I am interested in signing up for an amazon business (buyer) account.
But if I do that with the same email address as my sellercentral account, will it mess up my sellercentral account or cause me any problems with Amazon?
My existing sellercentral account naturally has a consumer account on the frontend of amazon uk, its this that would be converted from personal to business I believe and don't think it SHOULD affect my seller account. But I dread to do it without asking.
Any advice appreciated.
Best regards
Luke

If you are referring to your existing seller central account - I can confirm ours is a Business account - I'll be honest I don't think we've ever actually purchased anything on it - but just converting it to business doesn't appear to affect anything.
Mind you - can anyone say for certain anymore if anything will affect you on amazon? Considering they are currently blocking funds from UK sellers and not actually stating what would provide proof of UK status...

Im not sure I am understanding the problem
You cannot have different accounts on Amazon using the same email address.
I have a personal account I only use to buy stuff with (for myself).
Then, with a different email address, I have a business account (i.e. sellercentral) that I use to both sell and buy with (goods with for the business). This then means I get a VAT invoice for the purchase without me having to request it from the seller.

Yes, you can and it doesn't affect your seller account.
One word of warning though. Remember that when you make the change, you'll see the business prices (ex. vat) on the Amazon listings from then on. This does make it a little difficult to check how you are doing against the buy box.

One very annoying thing will happen. When you click on an advert to check what other sellers are selling an item for it will no longer give the drop down showing the other sellers prices. It will state 'Item Removed' 'Product no longer available for purchase on Amazon Business.'
You can check them in a separate non logged in browser.
