Customer Return Query
I had a customer open a return request a while ago. It was approved 30 days ago.
I’ve received a message from the customer, “I have returned the goods.” however, it hasn’t shown up here. Now, returns are scanned when they are dropped off, yes? (Amazon prepaid label)
Is there anyway of checking that the item was scanned at a post office or whatever?
Many thanks.

Ah, so they weren’t given one as it appears you manually approved it? In this case, let them know you haven’t gotten it and ask for the tracking details as well as their proof of postage.

There will be a tracking number in the return details, either RM or EVRI.

Refund on the first scan? Doesn’t seem to apply to all orders (as we have found), you’d need to check and order and the tracking.
The prepaid label tracking is on the return details

Just to provide an update in case someone has a similar incident. I responded with:
“Hello,
As per Amazon’s policies, a refund will be issued upon receipt of the goods. So as soon as I receive it, I’ll authorise your refund. In the meantime, please send me the tracking details and proof of postage.
Kind regards,
Jeff”
Lo and behold, no reply from the customer. (It’s been over a week) Looks like a chancer.
