Royal Mail Scanning
Amazon have cut off my sales due to VTR performance. Apparently due to Royal Mail not scanning? Anyone come across this and how did you sort it? Do I just have to buy post from Amazon now?

It won’t be due to Royal Mail not scanning - as our VTR is below 95% but amazon validate unscanned items (ie those that are Royal Mail 48 for us) prior to any category cancellations.
How are you marking your orders as despatched at the moment?

Just to confirm what osgood says.
My VTR is currently around 65%, I think only once it crept over 70% for 1 day before dropping down again
As long as you are confirming your orders correctly using genuine numbers then Amazon will validate them in the background
So if you have indeed had listings removed its because the confirmation number isn’t being forwarded correctly, or you are dispatching them incorrectly
The above only applies to large letters/parcels of course, letters will need to be bought from Amazon (or put through RM as a LL)

If you are sending Letter size then you have to buy from Amazon Buy Shipping.
How are you confirming despatch ? - Stamps/franking is no longer valid.

You might need to do a screenshot of your VTR Report. Click Download Report which will download an Excel spreadsheet
As if you have supplied tracking numbers, they should validate and you shouldn’t have any suspensions.

Royal Mail not scanning post is a big problem and has caused me many headaches with orders not showing as delivered.
I cannot see it being fixed as it comes down to the individual postal worker and wheather they can be bothered to scan.

Hi, are you dropping bags off at post office/depot or are they being collected by Royal Mail?.
We have had this issue a number of times and it is down to Royal Mail not doing first scan on the items into there system the day they are dropped off/collected.
You will have to get Royal Mail to acknowledge that in writing and then forward it to Amazon.

ALSO…
Your listings seem to contain references to delivery options (Order 5 packs for FREE Courier Delivery or VAT INVOICE INCLUDED) and other elements that shouldn’t be within the product descriptions.
It’s worth noting that in itself could lead to suspension of listings.

If you click inside the VTR, any defects in Late Dispatch Rate / On Time Delivery Rate or Late Dispatch rate??

Isabel4u1, I have just been through the same situation.
My parcels go out 1st class small parcel & I thought that the “Reference number” on the proof of posting was not a guaranteed tracking solution. I tried to fight Amazon on their own policy clause 5 which at the time stated that Royal Mail stamps &franking were exempt from VTR. However this now not the case as they have changed the policy in the last 48hrs so that Royal mail stamps & franking is only exemp if purchased through Amazon.
I will continue to send via my post office & pay them however I will not be informing customers that its shipped before I take to the post office like I always have done. I will input the Reference number without spaces(02124ECF01562BD4 NOT 0212-4ECF-0156-2BD4)
When you get the 3 questions from the Amazon Muppet Team, copy and paste them in your input further info, then answer them with the affirmative that you will be, basically, doing what you are told. I did this and my account was activated within 12 hrs. I hope this helps although VTR sucks.
Best wishes,
James
