UAE Site Auto-Registered Without Consent - Request High-Level Support to Unlink from EU Account
Dear Amazon Support and Community,
I am writing to report a critical issue regarding the unauthorized automatic activation of my Amazon UAE site (AE marketplace), which has put my primary European account at risk. Below are the key facts:
Issue Summary
Automatic UAE Site Activation
On [2025/7/1], I received an email notification stating that my UAE site was activated without any manual registration or consent from my side.
Inability to Close UAE Site Alone
When attempting to close the UAE site via Account Info > Close Marketplace, the system forces me to shut down ALL European sites (DE/FR/IT/ES etc.) simultaneously due to the "Europe + Middle East Unified Account" structure.
This is unacceptable as my EU sites are my core business.
Mounting Compliance Risks
UAE requires mandatory VAT registration (Cost: 20,000 AED) even with zero sales, yet I never planned to operate in the Middle East.
Failure to resolve this may lead to:
VAT penalties & account suspension
Unjustified tax burdens
Potential suspension of EU sites due to "inactive linked account"
Request for Escalation
I urgently request:
High-Level Account Specialist to manually unlink the UAE site (AE) from my unified account while keeping EU sites fully functional.
Written confirmation that:
UAE site status is changed to Terminated;
Case ID References: [11268876002]
Thank you for saving my business from irreversible compliance harm.

Hello! @Linilioart
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I see that our Seller support team recommended you to place the UAE site in vacation mode, I also see from the email you received that you had the ability to opt-out.
Let me know if you have further questions, as I see our Seller Support team addressed your questions.
Regards,
Roberto

United Arab Emirates account has been opened without our consent.
I had no idea that we have now an account on UAE Amazon. This morning our bank contacted us with an unauthorised credit card transaction from the UAE. So we cancelled our credit card. Now I have found that we have an Amazon account in the UAE. So the transaction must be linked to this.
Our whole account in Amazon UK DE FR IR ES IT is now all limited until we prove ID?????? Or our accounts could be suspended.
Is there a way to turn off UAE including FBA? I am already trying to turn off Sweden, Poland and Turkey? It is difficult if you do FBA.
