No sales in 2 months
Hi all, I’m new to selling on amazon. I do the fulfilment myself. I’ve listed 4 items since 23rd May and I’ve not made a single sale.
I sell novelty chocolates and i even uploaded new photos which amazon accepted and updated on the listing, but when i look at the live listing online it only seems to have my item being sold by another supplier.
So another vendor seems to be benefiting from the updated photos of the same chocolate i submitted.
Any advise on how i can start making sales myself?

Whats the asin ?
Go to settings - account info
What does it say next to amazon UK listing status ?

Note that amazon is a catalogue system - so provided the other seller is selling the exact same item - that would be fine.
There doesn’t seem to be anything coming up on a search for your forum name (assuming that is your store name) so as above - sharing an ASIN may show up any issues.

Presuming ‘chocolate lipsticks’ isn’t actually the brand, the other sellers maybe selling a different , cheaper brand to you
Do yours have an EAN ? Have you listed yours on the correct asin ?

Though how Queens Coffee and Coffee Experts International (hmmm, both from Berlin) are shipping that from Germany into the UK for £2.99 and making a profit, I’ve no idea.
Good point - is the product barcoded?

Perhaps, instead of looking at your selling price and what margin you make on that, combine the price and shipping (i.e. what the customer pays in total) and see what your margin is compared to your item cost plus your actual postage cost.

Please i have a business account that i pay 30gbp a month but i can’t put my store name as the brand when i am listing product which make’s it difficult for my listing to be seen. Do i need a trademark before i can sell items i bought from china? or items i am planning to buy from Alibaba. Please can someone advise me. Do i need to get a trademark before i can list the products i want to sell. It is not letting me input my store name on the icon brand name.

You should do there things to sell products;
Product research
First See the Product BSR
calculate your profit in revenue calculator
compete the prices with other sellers because if you set lowest price you will get sales

In my humble opinion I would always start with research. Look at how much a product will cost you from the wholesaler and how much they sell it on Amazon. Check that the product actually sells on Amazon and the reviews, there is no point in buying a product that doesn’t satisfy buyers, you might end up with many returns.
On Amazon you will find the two extremes, products that are sold for next to nothing and products that are sold for too much. Ignore the first extreme, some sellers are probably losing money and I don’t want to get involved. Just yesterday I saw a product that would cost me less than 50p including tax and fits in a 100g LL, sold for £9.99. It’s daylight robbery but it still sells a bit and it’s an opportunity for me. After dropping the price to a more reasonable level, sales tend to increase and I still make 33% profit, what’s not to like?.

Is it possible your supplier is selling directly here too?

hello there, we sell in the UK marketplace.
we have had issues too in the last 2 months. ODR went just above 1% for about 7 days but there was no sales for 22 days.
*emailed Amazon a few times no response confirming exact reason.
Called Amazon twice no one told the reason of 0% buy box. we were struggling already but loss of further sales means we cannot pay our staff and we cannot pay rent on time.
we were spending like 20%+ on advertisements and we are struggling so badly. dont know what to do.
