External Product ID / Bar Code

Hello,

First time sellers here... we are trying to add a Product Listing and we are stuck with the Variations tab.

What we want to do is to sell one item in two different colours and in different quantities (e.g. 1 pink, 1 black, 3 pink, 3 black...).

A few questions:

1. What do we add in the variation table? (i.e. Just the single unit and we will worry about the quantities later, or do we need to add each combination there)

2. We understand we need to purchase barcode from GS1. Do we just need 2 barcodes, one for the pink item and one for the black item? Or do we need a bar code for each quantity variation?

3. If we want to offer different quantities, do we need to pre-pack in those quantities or will Amazon do this for us?

Thanks in advance for your help!

unsure on point 1, though you should check first that quantities are an allowed variation on the category you list, they aren’t allowed in all categories.

On point 2 you would need a barcode for each variation. So pink 1, pink 3, black 1, black 3 will all need their own barcodes

On point 3, no amazon currently won’t pack in 3s via FBA, you’d need to send them in as packs of 3s. They do virtual bundles in the US, I don’t think it’s an option here yet.
