Can a wholesaler invoice be used as a or is classed as a distributer invoice
I am looking at a wholesale supplier for a product that requires a purchase invoice for products from a manufacturer or distributor. Does amazon class a wholesaler as a distributer or are the completely different things?
If not, is there some kind method to find out if a supplier is an authorised distributer?

Wholesaler invoices are usually okay for Amazon to get ungated and to dispute any IP claims.
It is not always the easiest thing to do but try to be sure that the brand does allow 3rd party sellers on Amazon. Some brands just don't like 3rd party sellers.
Also check the wholesaler is selling exactly the same item as that on Amazon.

Do you have another potential sales platform for the product?
If not, think twice, even a valid invoice is no guarantee of ungating on Amazon, it depends on the control the brand has on resellers.

As an addendum to the other responses, Amazon can reject applications to sell a brand even with valid invoices. So don't spend more than you can afford to lose unless you also sell on another platform.
