FBA error message - max inventory - does it make sense? please help!

You have already reached maximum inventory capacity for this product. This item must be removed from the shipment.

^This error message is appearing when trying to stock a product in FBA.

I cannot understand it, because there are no sellers selling the product in FBA for a new condition version. Do they also count our FBM inventory levels? which makes 0 sense to me.

I cannot imagine the used offers currently in FBA have 100s or 1000s of the same. Even if they did, surely it wouldn't affect it because they are used and not new?

Has anyone else experienced this? not sure whether to open a bug/glitch ticket with seller support.

I was thinking, if I make sales via FBM first, would it then "unlock" FBA eligibility?

It's a product i've stocked but haven't sold any units just yet, however it is a good sales rank and other sellers must have sold some as well, so I thought it would factor that in and not just our sales.

Sorry, i'm fairly new to FBA, any help would be greatly appreciated!

The answer was the certain products needed FNSKU instead of a SKU. So the error message was incorrect in saying what it said - it was actually for a different reason that the error message happened apparently. Thought I would update you. Hopefully these error messages can be improved so they make more sense in the future and reduce the need to open cases!

Thanks.

Now there are 0 sellers in FBA on the ASIN for "new", yet it won't let me send into FBA and is saying "at max capacity", the product is selling as FBM, but won't allow to send into FBA. This makes no sense to me.
