Signature Required or not?
I just started shipping orders using amazon's "buy shipping" and are buying Fedex labels through amazon. We entered our Fedex account number, so it seems like Amazon is just matching our prices? (I'm not sure how that works)
Anyway, on about 2% of our orders, amazon recommends shipping with a signature required. It doesn't usually seem to be based on price, but rather random orders.
This weekend I have an order on an $1200 item, but amazon hasn't suggested getting a signature. Feels a little scary.
Should I continue to ship all orders with no signature, unless amazon requires it?

As long as you buy shipping through Amazon and ship on time, with the post office scanning it as :received: within the ship by window, you are protected. Amazon asks for signature if a buyer has a high rate of returns or INR, but sometimes for no good reason at all. I spend a lot of money on Amazon every week and yet a few weeks ago I got a $20 order, shipped by Amazon....with signature confirmation! A first in 10 years!
If your fedex account is connected, you will pay for postage through fedex.
Amazon never REQUIRES the signature, take it as a warning and decide according to item value.
A $1200 item should ALWAYS have signature confirmation. I believe Amazon suggests it somewhere...also make sure to take a picture of the item next to the shipping label before you pack it up.
