UK Company Selling on Amazon US - VAT Problems
We are a UK company selling exclusively on Amazon USA. Started one month ago and we're being charged 20% VAT on PPC advertising and all Amazon fees including FBA fees, referral fee, etc.
Under UK law we aren't required to register for VAT yet because we earn under the threshold for registration. I've read online of other sellers in the same situation contacting Amazon and getting VAT collection stopped and reimbursed for the VAT already paid. I contacted Seller Support 2 weeks ago to try to solve this but have heard nothing back yet.
Any ideas for how to speed this up with Seller Support? This is really impacting our cashflow.
