ASIN has GTIN codes that do not match the brand associated to the ASIN

Hello,

I have received the following message in the Fix Your Product page:

  • This listing will be removed if you do not respond by the due date. This ASIN has GTIN codes that do not match the brand associated to the ASIN. GTIN codes are reliable data that are used to limit duplicate products in the catalogue and ensure product authenticity. We verify the authenticity of GTINs by checking the GS1 database and GTINs that do not match information in GS1 are considered invalid. We recommend obtaining your GTINs directly from GS1 (and not from other third parties selling GTIN licences) to ensure the appropriate information is reflected in the GS1 database. If you believe we have removed your ASIN in error, contact Selling Partner Support here. Repeatedly creating ASINs for brands you do not have a relationship with will result in the removal of ASIN creation abilities.

I have purchased these products from the distribuitor and are completely authenthic. I am not a brand owner of any of the asins listed on that page (one of the listings is of the brand Colgate), would I still be required to get what its asking? Also, would other sellers on the listing have received the same message?

Also, would deleting the listing help?

2 did you list via the barcode or find the item allready listed
3 whats the ASIN certain people will want to look at the advert to see where any problem lies.
4. if you did not create the listing you hav e no hope of changing it
5 check via the barcode for the proper listing for the item
6 if someone has branded it then even though you are selling the same item if its not the right brand there could be problems there.
