how do I add the ability to provide a persons. name for my custom listings
I am trying to give customers the ability to customise a t-shirt I sell by adding a name. When I try to do this using customise I am asked to add fonts etc...but this is not what I want. I just need a box stating 'provide a name' for your item if needed. Where can I find out how to do this?

All of the custom options in the tools are options so you don't have to use the text option.
If You just want to provide a box, go into customisation and delete the text option if it is there.
You then select add customisation and this will bring up a box of options and choose DATA.
On this you can then call it "provide a name"
You can check the preview to see what it will look like and then click publish.

you could have it at just 1 font colour, and 1 font so there is no choice and have just the text box that is useable, that way you can still use the preview feature
or you can just add a data box
