Switching to individual account

A couple of weeks ago, I accidentally signed up for a Professional selling account at £30 a month. I looked up the guide to switching to an Individual account (I want the free to have option, limited to 40 sales a month with a 75p fee per sale) but the page in the guide looks different to the one that I have. So I want to be sure that I am definitely on the Individual plan as I am worried about being charged £30 again. I also didn't receive a confirmation email that I changed plan which concerns me.

On my 'Manage your services' page, under the 'Sell on Amazon' tab there are two columns with bullet points for different countries, under Professional and Individual. I selected Individual and clicked Apply changes. It says 'Effective from 25 May, 2024'. Is this all I need to do? From what I've read about the different account types and plans I am a bit concerned about it.

I was also advised that I can get a refund of the £30 after 90 days as I didn't use it at all, in fact my account is deactivated and I never got the opportunity to use the professional plan anyway. Is this also accurate?

Thanks in advance.

It is not a professional ACCOUNT, but the selling plan. The two account types are Business and Individual (which is NOT the same as sole-trader).

... limited to 40 sales a month with a 75p fee per sale

You are not limited to 40 sales a month with the individual plan (it just becomes more financially sensible to be on that plan if you have less than 34/35 sales per month), and it is actually 90p per sale (75p +VAT !)

As long as you have clicked the button for the individual plan and saved the change then you should not be charged again.

To get a refund of unused fees you need to open a case with Seller Support -' Help' (top right) - get help with new issue - and scroll down to my issue not listed.

If you have recently registered then, yes, your account will be deactivated whilst they check and verify your details - both personal ID and business info.
