Return, business seller refunded but hasn't paid?

Hi all,

Hopefully it's just me being a wally.

Ill just explain a little...

I had a customer buy an item, leave positive feedback, then decided after two weeks they wanted to return it as it was faulty.

It's a printer and they said it doesn't print from a computer, on return in an awful state we tested the printer, no issue what so ever, i suspect the return was a change of mind, but wanted us to pay for return delivery and used the excuse that it was faulty.

As the customer was a business customer, we had no option to actually refund them as they hadn't paid for it, it was in the deferred part.

now today, I've checked my statement and it is showing that this has been refunded and taken out of the amount i was due to be able to disperse, it was sent via SFP and i went to make a SAFE-T claim as the item wasn't returned how it should of been and it's a high value item and it states Seller needs to be debited to be eligible to file SAFE-T claim.

So if the seller hasn't been debited and i haven't been paid why have they refunded out of my money that was due for disbursement today.

Is there anything i can do about the SAFE-T Claim

Thank you

Anyone had this issue?

Buyers just being ignorant and as a business buyer they are not covered by the same set of rules.

or do i just take this to a small claims court as the item was £550.00 and they're saying it was returned due to it not working and i've tested it and it works from a computer without issue.

thank you
