Amazon auto-authorized a refund but condition note described item perfectly
My condition note stated that this item did not have a dust cover. Yet, the buyer is returning on the basis that the item does not have a book cover stating “Wrong Item Sent".
Amazon has automatically authorised a refund. What recourse do I have? Can I speak to a rep over the phone?

Customers can return items they don’t want so you have to accept the return. But if they have misunderstood or used the wrong reason to get a free label, you can raise a Safe-T claim stating the customer used the wrong reason to get a free label and also, the condition note was clear that there was no dust cover.
I have always been reimbursed but you need to be clear and concise.

They shouldn't normally just refund - the customer should still return something.
Can you explain more about what happened?
- Has the customer opened a return request?

When you say 'dustcover' are you talking about a book dust jacket or some other sort of dust cover?
This is always a potential problem with used books or other items items in BMVD (and no doubt other categories).
When Amazon gives a seller the buybox, condition notes are hidden by default.
Even when you aren't the 'featured' offer, Amazon still makes it difficult to see condition notes and images for used items. This is especially true when viewing via the buyer app on a smartphone.
Amazon could do a lot more to inform sellers about exactly what it is they will be receiving when buying used.
What condition rating did you choose when listing the items?
