Has anyone shipped inventory from AWD to Walmart WFS (using Muli-Channel Distribution)?

I'm looking to send some of my inventory from AWD to Walmart fulfillment centers. Seems like everything I've researched so far suggests this can be done.

One remaining question I have is whether or not the Walmart WFS receiving labels can be printed by Amazon AWD. the Amazon Multi-Channel Distribution (MCD) article states they can print and apply custom shipment labels, but there is no mention if other additional labels (i.e. receiving labels) can also be added.

Has anyone done this before, or is this somewhat new territory?

Hi @Seller_DPetgMN6a9UZU,

I've looked into this for you. Here's what I found in the help documentation about AWD and custom labels:

According to the Multi-Channel Distribution (MCD) help page here, under "Which channels can be currently supported by MCD?", Amazon mentions they "do not support shipping to channels which require unit labeling and custom box; or require EDI-based ASN information."

The AWD terms and conditions here also state that "AWD does not provide product unit labeling services or relabeling services" and that you're responsible for ensuring units are labeled according to the destination channel's requirements.

While AWD can work with custom shipment labels, they need to be:

  • 4x6 inches in size
  • Include a barcode
  • Be in English
  • Specify pallet or case

I think this suggests you'll likely need to handle the Walmart WFS receiving labels separately from the AWD process.

If you need more details about this, you might want to reach out to AWD support at awd-multi-channel-distribution@amazon.com (this email address is listed in the FAQ section of the MCD help page).

Hope this helps clarify things!

Best regards, Michael

Really appreciate the breakdown above from MH - as always - and would also point to the MCD help page linked above. That said, we'll monitor the thread for any other sellers who may have tried to do this, specifically, and their feedback.
