As many other sellers, we are also saying bye to Amazon
Over the last few weeks we have been having constant battles with Amazon Seller Support from issues such as VTR to Suspected Intellectual Property Violations, and a constant battle regarding "Sweetzone" branded products being reported by 1 seller who wants to try and stop sellers from selling the products. We submit invoices from reputable wholesalers, get the product reinstated and then a week later the same seller reports them again for "Parallel Imports".. Rinse and repeat over and over again every week. Along with Amazon's Seller Support replies as the standard "bot" responses, Amazon is doing us worse than before.
And let's not forget the fraudulent A-Z claims for tracked & signed for items, that just puts the icing on the cake.
We are moving to our own online sites, with much more control and without the headaches, hassle and ever increasing fee's, we say good riddance to Amazon. Let's just be honest, there is nothing good about the platform other than constant stress. I am sure many other sellers will agree.
The community has been amazing as always, but it's just a better way for us (and many others) to go forward.

Completely agree. I’m leaving too, or trying to leave but I end up in circles, bot circles !
It’s the reviews that get me. Amazon self congratulates on how they have managed to clear their site of fake bought for five star reviews. In other words to protect the buyer. When it comes to suspicious brand damaging negative reviews there’s just a bot response to protect the seller. A new seller is second to long-standing sellers who probably have a few dodgy five stars thereby enabling them to absorb the one stars. A new seller with few reviews is easy prey to a shrewd competitor.
Amazon also has a specialised team that investigates reviews a seller considers questionable. All you get after waiting patiently is a link to “how to remove a review policy”, or something like that, another circle.
The forum and those who offer advice (including those associated with Amazon) are very helpful with their knowledge. That I appreciate.

Why make the decision to be on or off Amazon binary?
If you can source 80%+ of your business from your own site/s then your perspective becomes very different about Amazon sales.
I built my own site/client base before joining Amazon. These days my business is 75/80% via my own main site (repeat and new business) and is where I spend my advertising budget. 15/20% via industry specific affiliates where price parity is needed (hence having a second site). And 5/10% Amazon which I see as just bonus sales that I can't get from other sources.
If Amazon is your business it is very easy to become absorbed if not obsessed and feel the stress.
If your business is only enhanced by Amazon you become pragmatic, the Amazon metrics required are no less than I provide to all my clients so pose me no additional stress.
Be careful what you list to avoid laboursome ASIN's and take advantage of sales you otherwise can't reach. That's where Amazon works.

It used to be enjoyable (if thats the word) years ago. But They treat sellers Like second class citizens now. All we are asking for a equal playing field. I still think we need a union.. (that would be fun).
all the best

Best wishes for the future
It is a minefield here waiting for things to go wrong ,constantly checking the account is healthy
I am sure once you gain total control with your own online store life will be so much better and this will just be a memory

And yet again note the complete lack of any moderator comments on posts where sellers are leaving. No attempt at retention, it really is like they take the attitude that there are so many sellers on Marketplace that they don't need to concern themselves with sellers abandoning ship.
As the weeks & months go by Amazon will have to wake up to how they look after their sellers otherwise it will be the end for them.
Amazon can have as many buyers as they want but what good is that with no sellers to buy from!

I have only just come onto forums and only been with Amazon 16 weeks. I have a decent medical supply company and have had customers saying that they have not had deliveries, then calling my company a scam and saying the evri tracking is false and i am a thief. I have showed Amazon the tracking and proof of delivery..... and then Amazon end up refunding the customer!!!! I just dont understand it..... If you supply goods, have them tracked and proof of delivery; what more can you do? So far i have customers claiming the goods were delivered but cannot find them, or goods are opened or goods are not collected from a drop off point, when obviously they are. Amazon is just way off point on supporting the suppliers. I have only been on a few months and selling over £1200 a month on Amazon, but i also may be forced to leave.

We have too closed all our listings and waiting the time period to final closure.
Amazon has been a fun and exciting way to learn where not to do business in the pre-owned book trade.
Wishing you all the best!
