Item delivered after refund

HI Everyone, I refunded an order as the buyer claimed INR. The order then turned up a few days later, after a delay in the post. Is there anyway I can get the payment reinstated? Thanks

Only by asking the buyer to contact amazon to recharge their card

Yes you have to get the customer to contact Amazon customer services to request the order is recharged to their payment method. Then hope that the customer services agent understands the request!

Very hit and miss, some cutomers are understanding, and will contact Amazon to re-charge, we have had some who purchase another one, and tell us not to post it which also works, other than the obvious VTR hit (or just mark as stamps/franking).

Majority though will not respond, as they have the item, and know that there is nothing you can do about getting it returned.

Over the years I have had a number of customers contact me saying they want to pay in this scenario.

None of them have ever managed to make Amazon understand the issue and get a recharge. A few then make a purchase and say don’t post it.

A few got so angry with the whole process I thought I was going to end up with negative feedback.
