Brand Name Hijacked, SS advice is speak to hijacker to change the name back!

Second time a brand name of the product I’m selling has been hijacked, so the new brand JCKEL has benefitted from the high sales rank of the ASIN (linking product to their store whilst they are not selling this product), whilst causing the child ASIN to break out of parent ASIN and causing dropped of sales of the product as buyers can no longer see this size options under parent listing.

Amazon’s advice as follow:

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Rest, be assured that we will be assisting you with your query.

We understand that you are concerned about ASIN: B00DVMWJSA, for which the brand name has changed from Laili to JCKEL.

We certainly understand the importance this has to you and your business.

We would like to inform you that, we’ve sent the Brand update that you’ve suggested for product ID B00DVMWJSA to the brand owner for consideration.

The detail page associated with this ASIN is controlled by the brand owner, and any product-related information must be approved by them. They are under no obligation to make these updates.

There’s no further action required from you at this time.

If you’re not the brand owner, you can still make catalog updates for the brand by contacting the brand owner and requesting that they assign you a role for the brand.

The brand owner can submit a request to assign this role to your Brand Registry user account. Roles can be assigned by going to the Brand Registry “Contact us” page, selecting “Update your brand profile” and then clicking “Update role for user account”.

So begging the hijacker brand owner for mercy is the way forward? Thank you Amazon.

Hi CBW, i had this issue a couple of weeks back, I have linked the forum I created for it…

I have got to say that I do believe that my brand name being trademarked and a registered brand owner on amazon was probably the biggest thing I had going for me. But I will link it anyway.
