Repeated Automated Rejections on Brands we have been selling years

I’m hoping to get some advice or visibility on a very serious issue we’re currently facing with our Amazon.co.uk seller account.

Over the past week, we have had hundreds of ASINs restricted across many brands, which represents the majority of our catalogue. This action was taken without any prior warning or request for documentation, despite us having over 10 years of selling history and consistently strong account health.

We fully understand and respect Amazon’s requirement for supply chain verification. However, the way this has been handled is extremely concerning:

The restrictions appear to be account-specific, not brand-wide (other sellers are still actively listing the same products)

A large number of unrelated brands were restricted at the same time, suggesting this is not a normal brand gating issue

We are being asked to apply ASIN by ASIN, which is not practical given there are hundreds affected

Every application we submit is being rejected with the same generic message, often stating “potential document alterations”

The biggest concern is that:

👉 All documents submitted are 100% genuine and unaltered

👉 Supplier contact details are clearly provided and can be verified

👉 Despite this, responses appear automated with no clear explanation of what is wrong

We have now received multiple identical rejections across different brands, all citing the same vague reason without any meaningful review or feedback.

This is having a massive impact on our business, and we are struggling to get any clear answers or proper investigation from Seller Support.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

How did you resolve repeated “document alteration” rejections?

Is there a way to trigger a proper manual review?

Any advice on escalating this beyond standard support?

If any Amazon moderators or employees are able to review or guide us on this, it would be hugely appreciated. We are fully willing to comply and provide any documentation required—we just need a fair and transparent review process.

Thank you in advance for any help or guidance.

Hello @Seller_t0ytSKw9a3huV,

Thanks so much for your post. Amazon requires approval to sell in many categories, brands, and products and in some instances restrictions and policies change. While you may have been approved in the past, as the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction.

For this reason, you may be required to gain approval to sell certain products. In most situations, a direct invoice from the brand, supplier, or manufacturer is required. A Letter of Authorisation (LOA) can also be a valuable addition to your appeal in these situations if you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

Your best bet is to work with the brand directly and get their approval to sell the product on Amazon. Once you have an approval from the brand and an LOA stating that you can sell their brand on Amazon, you can also work with the brand to add you as an Authorized Reseller of the brand in Brand Registry.

You will find more details about this using the resources below:

Products that require approval

Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell

Guidelines to source products to sell on Amazon

I hope this helps!

Best,

Kris

we are going through exactly the same thing. Invoices rejected saying they suspect alteration (totally untrue if they had any suspicions whatsoever they would contact supplier, get proof and close your account) invoices rejected because they have already been submitted for another application (obviously suppliers produce 1 invoice per delivery and not 1 invoice per brand per delivery) invoices rejected because they cant verify ( i doubt they have even made any attempt whatsoever as the invoices are all legit and we buy from regular suppliers who have years of trading history. We have contacted Trading Standards, awaiting their response.
