On Time Delivery Rates - OTR

So, noticed our seller fulfilled sales drop off a cliff last weekend and after checking hundreds of our listings they were being offered to customer with a delivery window of around 2 weeks. This is despite the fact we dispatch next working day via Royal Mail 48hour tracked.

I tried switching the SSA setting on and off, making new shipping templates etc.. to no avail.

Finally today, after a conversation with a half decent customer service person I have found out that Amazon pad out the expected delivery timeframes which the customer sees, when your OTDR percentage falls below 97%. Its nothing to do with the automated shipping setting and it doesn't make any difference whether you have this switched on or off.

My issue is that the report which you can download from the OTDR section, contains lots of orders with missing delivery times. When I checked the first few of these, the deliveries were made within the right timeframe and sometimes before, but the report hadn't picked these up therefore up giving a false OTDR figure.

I've lost lots of sales where customers have probably chosen sellers with a better delivery time showing through no fault of my own.

and yet…

We recommend that sellers maintain an OTDR greater than 97% in order to provide a good customer experience, however there is no penalty for not meeting the performance target at this time.

Certainly sounds like they are applying a penalty…
