FBA Sending 15kg Dog food Bags
Hi,
so i’ve got 6 bags of dog food all 15kg and I’m going to send them FBA. The plan was to just put them on a pallet but wanted to see if anyone had any advice first.
so they are all the standard big loose bags of dog food so my question is when im creating a shipment would I just say they are in one box as they will just go on the pallet (as long as they are all going to the same place anyways) or should I say they are 6 individual boxes.
Thanks

Firstly, are you certain that it is worth using FBA to fulfil these?
With the cost of fulfilment and the cost of sending them in (Possibly another £50 for the pallet), it will take a big chunk of your price.
If you use SFP and DPD, the cost will be less than the FBA fees.
I could actually send them to FBA via DPD, cheaper than it would cost to send a pallet. With only 6 on it anyway.
As to sending a pallet in, with individual items, you only label them with the FNSKU label.
You do not treat them as boxes, as such.
So if you have 6 bags on a pallet, that is 6 individual items, in 6 boxes. It is a name only.

I may have misunderstood but are you planning to send the bags in as they are, without any additional packaging around them, strong enough to withstand at least two journeys by carrier and handling in a busy warehouse?
There are several other threads on here about Amazon’s SIOC (Ship in own container) policy, to reduce unnecessary packaging, where FC staff have sent goods out with labels and stickers all over the product box, such as a jigsaw puzzle that now has the picture totally obscured. If they do it to your dog food, there may be a bit of a mess on the warehouse or mailvan floor when the bag bursts!
