We contacted seller support some weeks ago asking for advice. We have a few limited companies that are the same name as our own brands. One of the brands is now becoming popular, and as a result we want our Amazon account to be tied to our limited company with the popular brand name.

The business is registered at the same address as our current on Amazon, it will have the same beneficial owner and point of contact. So on Amazons end all we would effectively be changing in our business information is the business name, uploading a document to prove this, and then in our other settings updating the VAT No and banking info.

Its not the company being sold or a change of hands in any way. The company our account is registered to now, and the new brand name company have the same owner/staff/premises.

I told Seller Support all of this and they told me that we can do this, and all we have to do is directly edit the information in our business information, but we were told this would trigger re-verification.

Having been round the block a while on Amazon I thought that this sounded way to simple to be true and so I asked if there was anyone I could confirm this with and get additional guidance. They told me to email seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk

We sent them an email a week ago now, and we still do not have a response.

I'm wondering if anyone here has been through the same and can confirm if its really this simple, or if there are additional steps or perhaps a better suited department to email.

Last thing we want to do is go ahead and make this change and cause a whole bunch of issues. Some downtime for verification we can deal with and expect, but knowing Amazon its never gonna be that simple.
