Amazon Requesting Business Registration – Sole Proprietor Help Needed!
Hello everyone, I am an individual seller without a registered company. My Amazon account was created three years ago, and now Amazon is requesting me to upload business registration documents, including my full name, address, signature, and mode of business. Since I am a sole proprietor and do not have an LLC or any corporation, how can I resolve this issue? Has anyone faced a similar situation, and what documents did you provide? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also a Sole Proprietor has a Business Registration. It depends on the country you live in. As a sole proprietor you HAVE a business and most probably you are obliged to register this in your local "Chamber of Commerce". Copy and paste here Amazon's message or a screenshot of the page asking you that.

Even as a sole proprietor, if you are conducting any kind of business you are required to register your business with your local government to get a business license and also you would have to register with the state to get your sales & use tax permit as well to file sales taxes with your state. You may also have to create and file a fictitious name for your business. You can't just sell especially online without certain licenses & permits because you will be required to file quarterly or yearly tax payments to the IRS etc. and you may receive 1099K's from whatever online marketplaces you are on which they also send to the IRS. It sounds like you are not registered as a business as of now.

Hello @Seller_7nC1PPS5L0trH
Thank you for the information regarding the verification that you are currently in the process of completing. I understand that you are looking to better understand what documents need to be provided. I do want to provide insight to alleviate any difficulty you might be having with this step. As mentioned by @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC and @Seller_9z7K85RzAOGC9, if you are a sole proprietor and are operating a business, you should have documentation that was filed with your local government. If you have never registered your business, then you would want to operate as an individual instead of a sole proprietor.
Generally, registration documents may not be required for the business if you do not actually have it registered. I would be sure to verify that the rest of the documentation being provided can be validated to the information that you have in the account. Have you been able to provide the rest of the documents that our team has asked for?
I will continue to monitor the situation for any future questions or updates that you receive so that I may continue to offer support to you.
Best,
Atlas

.... legally and taxwise "Individual" and "Sole Proprietor" (and "Single Member LLC") are exactly the same thing...
I don't think that it is any longer allowed to sell on Amazon without a "Business LIcense" or a Tax confirmation showing at least the status of "Self employed". Without it, this would just cover private sales like used CDs, books, etc. Ebay is much more suitable for this.
Sorry, I doubt that Amazon does accept such a situation. Amazon is not a flea market.
