After Holiday Settings

Sales are finally going well after 6 months or more of re-setting up my Amazon account, but I'm under pressure to go on holiday!

I have the buy box, as I sell my own products, but how long does it take the listings/ sales to recover after being on holiday mode for 1-2 weeks?

Will it take days or months to regain the placement in search? I don't have high rankings for any listing, but I can't risk being without the steady flow of sales when I reopen.

I came back a week ago from a 2-week holiday - no sales at all and hardly any page views. So be prepared it takes time to recover

I came back from a weeks holiday last Friday and sales were flowing through as normal within a few hours

If you are the only seller on your listing you will however lose ranking over your holiday period. However a pause of 1 or 2 weeks shouldn't be too much of a problem.

If you share your listings with other sellers then rank won't really be impacted if they are selling the items why you are away.

It is something you will have to do at some point. No one can work 52 weeks a year without a break.

It's devastating for us - like you are being punished for taking time off. Ours never recovered from a couple of years ago, we were regularly doing 350-400 items a month now it hovers at 60-80 for no particular reason!

We are same as you, it's our own products, unique listings to us.

I would suggest using FBA for the 2 weeks you are away.

Been away for 10 days. Came back and sales started immediately and we were at the top of the search with no bad effect at all. Everyone needs a holiday.
