Why can't you close the account? Have you waited 90 days since your last order was delivered?
If your account is already suspended, then you cannot close it without resolving the issue. If it's an issue you cannot resolve, then you're done. Make sure that you are downgraded to the Individual plan, and accept the fact that you're finished.
But if you intentionally do something to get your account suspended, keep in mind that you will probably lose any outstanding funds in your account.

You only get ONE Seller account per-lifetime.
Why not simply downgrade from PRO to Individual-level, and then put your account on "Vacation Mode".
This way you will suspend the $39.99 monthly charge and you can keep your account in "Suspended Animation", in case one day you reconsider and want to Sell here again.
Never burn bridges unless you need to...

As to how long a Seller can remain on "Vacation" mode, a couple of years back (during the pandemic), I had fairy major surgery that basically removed all use of my right arm for 6 months and forced me to go on "Vacation" mode.
Once healed, it took another 6 months to unbox and organize the 6 months of product I had continued to receive but could not process with only one arm, and my left one at that.
So, I was on "Vacation" mode for about a year, and had no problems going back "Online" when I was ready.
As an interesting side note, while recovering I actually received a phone call from an actual Human Being working for Amazon who inquired why I was on Vacation mode for so long when my Business was performing so well up to that point. I explained the situation, and that I WOULD be back, and they seemed to be happy to hear that.
I must admit that it was VERY refreshing to discover that not only does Amazon really keep track of all of us and our performance, but that they will actually reach-out with a personal telephone call from a real person.
It made me feel very validated, and that I was indeed a valued "Selling Partner" on Amazon.
If it had not occurred to me I would NOT believe it was even possible...
But it is absolutely true. They ARE watching, and they really DO care.
