[Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary] Press Send Again: 'Branded offers to be removed on September 16, 2025'

received 2 emails saying the above; this eve, from amazon IT. See one below in italics underlined As ever, ambiguous and somewhat disturbing. The bottom says 'HP' (hewlett packard). Thing is, we don't sell electronics , nor HP, and neither do we sell 3rd party brands, just our own (food items).

Anyone else received this message type? was it just a [Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary] pressing send or something to be more worried about?

Thanks

Dear Seller,

Your branded listings require additional September 16, 2025 supply chain documentation to continue selling on Amazon.it. After this date, offers without valid documentation will be deactivated and you will not be able to create new offers for these products.

What is the reason for this decision?

We are taking this action to ensure that only safe and authentic products are sold in our store. We require sellers to demonstrate a consistent supply of inventory from verifiable suppliers. At this time, we don't have enough information about your supply chain to confirm that you meet these requirements. Our review identified potential customer complaints, authenticity issues, or violations associated with its offerings. This decision was taken on the basis of the results of an analysis carried out partly by human verification and partly by automated systems.

For more information on product restrictions and authorization requirements, please see the "Categories and Products Subject to Amazon Authorization" help page.

How do I continue to sell these products?

To continue selling these products, complete these steps by September 16, 2025:

1. Use the "Add a Product" tool in Seller Central

2. Search for the product you want to sell

3. In the search results, click the Request Sales Authorization link next to the item

4. Click "Request Authorization" next to the product

5. Please submit the following documentation:

a. Copies of your supplier's invoices issued in the last 180 days with a minimum of 100 units

b. Contact information of your supplier, including company name, phone number, address (if applicable), email, and website

Send documents in .pdf, .jpg, .png or .gif format. It can remove pricing information, but all other details must be visible. We may contact the supplier to verify the documents. Contact the supplier information will remain confidential.

You can continue to sell your current inventory for these products until the date you are scheduled to send them. After this date, if you have not provided the required documentation and have inventory with FBA, you will need to create a removal order to request the return, disposal, or donation of the inventory.

What happens if I don't take the above actions?

After this date, we will remove these listings and you will not be able to list these products until you have provided the necessary documentation.

Have your products been incorrectly identified?

If you believe that we have identified your products incorrectly, please submit a dispute through the "View Selling Authorization Requests" dashboard in Seller Central.

I've also just received a few of these emails. The brands listed at the bottom of the email are - HP, Philipps, Sony, Canon, Microsoft.

We too only sell our own branded items, nothing else.

Not sure what to do...??

Can you see the message in your Seller Central? If not, the email is likely a phishing scam. Don't click any links in the email. Only follow motifications in your seller central.

I have the same email, but to provide a nice little twist it's in Dutch, referring to Amazon .nl (where I don't sell) and relating to Dyson & Sony (which I don't sell).

So I have to provide documentation so that I don't lose listings that I don't have, on a platform I don't use..

Although I don't approved of the word used, my answer to your question is Yes.

Same email here, and same listed brands. The emails are from the Spanish and German sites and we only sell on the UK. Not going to worry about it, probably just an Amazon mistake.

Yep, same here. Had emails this morning relating to Amazon.fr, Amazon.it (don't sell in those two) and Amazon.co.uk relating to the HP, Sony and Philips brands. Don't sell any of them and searched my product listings to see if the brand names appear anywhere and they definitely don't!
