Wondering if Anyone Else is Being Subject to Anti-Competitive Activity?

A product that a competitor sells, that we also sell (albeit our own branded version). Is placed in the wrong category on Amazon. We also happen to sell our own products in this category - Wheel nuts and bolts.

The product should be in the category lug wrenches. The lug wrench category has a much higher sales volume than wheel nuts and bolts. So, by allowing a product that is typically a faster moving good into a slower moving category you are going to artificially increase its product ranking. Usually this lug wrench is at the top spot in the category. Leading to an unfair situation and a situation that one could claim that Amazon is applying dissimilar selling conditions to two competing products - this is anticompetitive.

When approaching seller support about this and asking for our Lug wrenches to be allowed to be sold in the same category, so that we do NOT have dissimilar selling conditions, or alternatively for them to remove the offending product to the right category to make it fair, we were told no. Multiple times.

I have pushed Amazon and asked about this over the years with no result, only recently had it dawned on me that it is potentially anti-competitive and counter to the UKs CMA.

I am wondering if any other sellers have experienced the same or similar double standard/anti competitive situation?

Perhaps this is not an isolated incident.
