Changing legal entity/tax information

I have been looking to create a professional seller account under a limited company and eventually came to do it. Upon research, I was told to open an individual seller account until I had completed product research and was ready to actually sell, all this to save a few months monthly subscription fee to the professional seller account.
I realized this was the wrong advice so I contacted the verification team about changing my legal entity from individual to limited company, I was told to update my tax information in order to proceed with the legal entity change; This is the response I got.

To update your tax information, follow these instructions:

  1. Sign in to your selling account, and navigate to the ‘Account Info’ section under the ‘Settings’ tab.
  2. Click ‘Tax Information’ > ‘Edit’ and make the necessary changes.
  3. Click ‘Submit’.

However, under the tax information subheading, the only option given is to give a RFC ID number which is for Mexican citizens, which is confusing as I am a British citizen living in the UK.

I’ve attached screenshots of what I meant in tax information requirements.

Has anyone ran into similar issues as this and how did you solve the problem?

Then you must be signed in to the global account

I believe seller support may have confused you with the terminology

The individual PLAN is where you don’t pay a monthly subscription fee however, the legal entity Individual means private seller

You should’ve signed up as a business seller - sole trader if you are not yet ltd - with your utr number but you can still choose the individual plan to save money if you are not selling yet

Did you want yo sell globally or just uk ?
