My head is about to explode
Hi there,
I’m hoping someone who’s faced a similar issue, or a member of the support team, can help me out. I recently opened a business bank account with Tide in my company’s name, with me as the director, but it looks like Amazon’s automated verification process isn’t happy with that. My account is now blocked, and it doesn’t accept any proof of ownership, like a bank statement or account verification letter. I can’t find a way to contact support through my account health section, and I’m pretty stuck. I can’t even close my Amazon account. If anyone has had a similar problem, I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance!
Thank you so much!

Amazon may not accept Tide as they aren't officially a bank yet, others maybe able to advise otherwise if that is incorrect and they have had Tide accounts accepted. I have a Tide account for one business totally unconnected to Amazon and find it isn't accepted by some companies/organisations.
Other internet banks (those who have full banking licences) such as Starling are accepted by Amazon.

as 92 says - I don’t think Tide are on Amazons list of accepted banks- have you checked if it is?

Have you tried using the Clearbank Ltd address for verification who operates the Tide Account? It can be found at the bottom of your Tide Bank statement

Tide are not accepted. My business is with tide too so I’ve had to complete setup using my personal bank for the time being, which is less than ideal I know but worked as a temporary fix.

I'm currently using a Tide account...no issues with set up. I think I even used Tide's authorisation bank letter they give you.
Does the name on the Amazon account match the bank authorisation / verification letter? Also, like some others have mentioned, you may find it under Clearbank Ltd rather than Tide.

Hello @Seller_pbXi8LQlnnU7m,
I'm Angie, part of the UK forum community. It's a pleasure to greet you.
I'm glad to see the issue has already been resolved by changing the bank account. You can review the accepted banks under the Payment Service Provider updates to make sure your bank account will be accepted as a future reference.
Best regards,

Hi I had no issues with Tide. A couple of thoughts....
There is a standard letter on the Tide App you can download that confirms you as the director has a registered business account with Tide. I provided that letter to Amazon. It includes the ClearBank details and explains that the Tide Business account is provided by Clearbank.
As part of the Amazon account sign up process, I also had to provide a letter that explained I as director had the 'power to act on behalf of the company'
Hope that helps
