Best way to get a trademark for brand registry

Hi all, when I joined amazon I created loads of listings selling my handmade products and put my company name as the brand which I thought was the correct thing to do.

Now my listings are getting suppressed as Amazon are requesting random details which I didn’t fill in fully which is no problem however - they won’t allow me to update the listings with the info they require because I don’t have permission to change this brand listing so I need to make it a trademark or re do all the listings as generic.

Which is the best route to go regarding getting this trademark?

Thanks for the help.

Not sure whether there is a best way. There’s only one way as far as I know, short of paying a consultant to do it for you. The correct route is via the IPO.

Thank you, I will look into this then
Do you know if I will be able to update my current listings with this brand name once I do successfully register the trademark and get approved for the brand on Amazon or will I have to create new listings?

You need to start your trade mark register asap as it can take up to 3 months to do

As a handmade seller we can have access to brand registry by applying through amazon. It doesn’t give you full protect as going through the IPO but may give you enough to access your listings. On the handmade hub there is a link to the brand registry waiver. Handmade hub is here: Seller Central General Content (amazon.co.uk).

Although it someone has trademarked the name you are going to need to change.

The easiest way to file an IP, if you have no clue about it is to go through Amazon’s IP accelerator program. here is the link to Amazon’s approved service providers in this category - https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/tsba/searchpage/IP%20Accelerator?ref_=sc_spn_hp_iplst&sellFrom=UK&sellIn=UK
