Changing from individual to professional messed up the listings' pricing

Has anyone had an issue where they switched their plan from individual to professional and was unaware that Amazon would remove the cost of shipping but keep the cost of the product the same? Apparently, there is an automatic shipping cost on every listing on an individual plan if it’s FBM. Before I changed the setting, I had to adjust the product price to beat the competition since I could not change the shipping price. When I changed it to professional, I was so unaware that Amazon did not adjust the price rather, they kept the product price the same but removed the shipping cost. Now, buyers bought a whole lot because it was being sold so low. It is so annoying that you can’t really do much but take a loss. Also, I don’t get why Amazon didn’t suppress the listing like they usually do when a product is being listed at a price much lower than competitive price?

When you are on the professional plan one of the perks is to be able to assign your own shipping templates, so you can charge whatever shipping you want or offer free shipping. You need to do this ASAP.

Yes, the individual plan does have Amazon's default shipping charge dependent on the category you sell in.

unfortunately you’ll have to mark this one down to not researching fully. Get your shipping templates setup ASAP is the only advice that can really be offered.

With regards to why amazon didn’t suppress due to low pricing, I imagine that would depend on the price of the products but the reduction due to the loss of the shipping cost that was no longer there wasn’t enough for amazons system to think there was anything wrong.
