SCAM ALERT. Anyone received an Email from disbursement-appeals@amazon.co.uk reference policy violations and fines?
A strange and quite convincing email arrived this morning saying my account is now deactivated and placed in a dormant status due to a policy violation. We have charged up to a maximum of €3,400 to recover damages as a result of your policy violation in accordance with sections 6 and 7 of "Amazon’s Business Solutions Agreement" and section 9 of the "Amazon Payments Europe User Agreement".
es, you can appeal the charge by signing up for an identity verification video interview. This is a mandatory requirement prior to disbursing any balance. To book an appointment for the interview, fill out the "Virtual Verification Form."

Thought it best to give sellers the heads up.

That's the second thread to this effect. and the €3,400 figure is the same.
The previous poster hid the link, but just said it was from Qualtrics. Initially that wouldn't raise any flags as Qualtrics is a firm amazon use for some forms.

I'm aware of another seller receiving this message.

qualtrics.com is a genuine company used by Amazon for many things including verification.
The link looks genuine but it really depends if that’s where the link takes you.
If, when you hover your mouse on the link or long press the link on your phone, the new link that appears stays the same (exactly), then the email is genuine. Or qualtrics has been hacked (unlikely but possible).
If different, it’s a scam.

I’ve also received the same email, with the same amount. Not sold on Amazon for Approx 4-5 years and closed my limited company and bank accounts.
Keen to find out more information or if I just ignore it.
A thought…. This message came to my personal email account. If it was sent by Amazon, then should it show up in my seller account messages?

I have received similar email and the €3,400 figure is the same.
Not sold on amazon for more than a year. All the listings have been inactive and has been removed.
Wondering if this is genuine or a scam.

Today i received email from amazon, Your Amazon Seller account is currently deactivated and placed in a dormant status due to a policy violation. We have charged up to a maximum of €3,400 to recover damages as a result of your policy violation in accordance with sections 6 and 7 of "Amazon’s Business Solutions Agreement" and section 9 of the "Amazon Payments Europe User Agreement".
Can the charge be appealed?
How to deal with it?
i don’t want to pay and fine because i don’t want to sell anymore in amazon, my account is already deactivated from last 6 months, customer support and nobody is helping to reactive my account, as a new seller it’s hard to resolve. and now i am done with these all things. amazon is really way too complicated.

I received the same email today with the same amount. Not sure what to do in this situation. Should I try to appeal the charge as well or just ignore the email?

I got the same email. Account deactivated 4 years ago, no listings and the trading company is long since closed.
Have contacted seller support but they just closed my case as my account was deactived.
Not a clue if its genuine or not - I replied to ask and just got the same email cut and pasted back. I also contacted Seller Support but my case log was closed immediately on the basis that my account is deactivated with no reply on my actual question.

I recieved the same email, word by word.
Amazon deactivated several years ago. So what should we do?
Is it scam or geniune? and how can we actually contact Amazon?

I am trying to reach them with all my efforts since last 3 years, no proper answers . I am also trying to get answer from them for this e-mail no answer again. No guarentee they want to get this 3400 GBP 10 years later. Amazon was my worst online experience indeed. How can someone charge people 3400 GBP without them listed a single product. What kind of joke this is?
