Premium shipping eligibility period
Two Questions:
1)I sell 100% MF and I am usually eligible for premium shipping. I've noticed some orders requiring Saturday delivery which is faster (and more costly) than the 1 or 2 business days that used to be the requirement. It seems that even if the delivery misses the target delivery date on the order, it does not count against my premium shipping metrics. Is this in writing anywhere?
2) Does anyone know the actual evaluation period for Premium Shipping? Help says day 40 to day 10, but the Dashboard seems to calculate differently...
Today is April 24
My latest premium orders are...
- 1 Day, Ordered 3/5 (Sunday), Shipped 3/6, delivered 3/7 (on time)
- 1 Day, Ordered 3/15 (post cutoff), Shipped, 3/16, delivered 3/17 (on time)
- 1 Day, Ordered 3/16, shipped 3/16, delivered 3/17 (on time)
- 1 Day, Ordered 3/17, Shipped 3/17, delivered 3/18 (on time)
- 2 Day, Ordered 3/20, Shipped 3/20, delivered 3/21 (early)
- 1 Day, Ordered 3/23, shipped 3/23, delivered 3/24 (on time)
- 2 Day, Ordered 4/4, shipped 4/4, delivered 4/6 (on time)
- 2 Day, Ordered 4/12 (post cutoff), Shipped 4/13, delivered 4/17 (late if Saturday counts, on time if 2 business days) Order Deliver by date says 4/15
- 2 Day Ordered 4/13, Shipped 4/13, delivered 4/15 (on time if Saturday counts, early if 2 business days) Order Deliver by date says 4/15

This makes sense Orders 2-7 fall in this period 6 orders, all delivered on time or early.

This doesn't make sense. Orders 6-9 (4 orders) fall in this period (not 5)

This also makes sense. Orders 2-7 (6 Orders) had their initial scan during this time.

- 2 Day Ordered 4/27 after cutoff, shipped 4/28, scheduled delivery 5/1 (late if Saturday counts, on time if 2 business days) Order Deliver by date says 4/29
- 1 Day Ordered 4/28, Shipped 4/28, scheduled delivery 5/1 (late if Saturday counts, on time if 2 business days) Order Deliver by date says 4/29

7 of 7 still seems correct (Orders 2-7 and 9) This leads me to believe that even if the order says "deliver by" on a Saturday, that delivery by Monday is still within the metrics.

0 of 5 seems incorrect. Only orders 7-10 were in this time period

Again 7 of 7 seems correct ( orders 3-9)

@Seller_0xdtD36hDLHBC,
1. Two-Day Shipping will show an Estimated Delivery Date (EDD) that is two or three business days after the order date. Orders that you receive Monday-Friday before 2:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. PT, will show an EDD that is two business days after the order date. Orders that you receive after 2:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. PT on a business day, or on a weekend or holiday, will show an EDD that is three business days after the order date.
That being said, do you have weekends set as operational days?
2. There is 10 day lag in getting carrier data. Therefore, we will measure your performance from day 40 to day 10 and exclude Seller Fulfilled Prime orders from the evaluation.
What you are seeing under Premium Shipping Eligibility is on a two week lag.
To calculate VTR, we take the number of packages you ship with a valid tracking number and divide it by the total number of packages you have shipped and confirmed over a 30-day period. We use the promised delivery date to determine which orders are included in the performance metric.
The cancellation rate is all seller-canceled orders represented as a percentage of total orders during a given 7-day time period, including orders automatically canceled by Amazon because the seller did not confirm the shipment.
I will need to look a little bit deeper to find out why there is a discrepancy. Hopefully this information helps in the meantime.

That is not what is showing. Look at this order from 4/12 (number 8 on my list).

Order was on Wednesday after cutoff time. The ship by date is correct. 2 business days from Thursday is Monday. The order was delivered on Monday (4/17) which is two business days. The 17th is within the rating period for on-time delivery and it appears that I wasn't dinged even though I did not meet the deliver-by date indicated (4/15)
Yes I do. We will ship premium orders on Saturday. Those are not an issue. The incorrect deliver-by date only shows up for second-day orders with ship-by Thursday or Friday dates and next-day orders with ship-by Friday dates.
Thank you. Maybe I am reading it incorrectly, but the cancellation number seems to be incorrect.
I found this tidbit in help...

However, this only adds to my confusion. It seems to indicate that I have somewhere selected that I will deliver premium shipments on Saturday, but I cannot find a setting for that.
