Keyword Update - to Semicolon or not?

Has anyone else noticed the example that now sits alongside the updated generic keywords section, are we now meant to follow this example of using " ; " between each keyword? or is this an amazon slip up?

Example: Watersports; Derek Rose; Electric; Wi-Fi

Feels like this goes against everything we have ever been told to do for backend keywords?

What page is this on?

Also, what the heck is that product in the example?

I think it could be a slip-up.

Certainly, when using the Vendor Central side of Amazon they always told us to use ";" but in Seller Central, the advice has always been to never use it. It's probably just different systems for different sides of the same coin.

Hello @Seller_TPWVmNXMIKEni,

I am Spencer with Amazon.

You are correct, in this article: Use search terms effectively, it clearly states that punctuation is not needed but the example as shown by you shows the use of a semicolon.

I also know of sellers who use a comma between keywords. It all seems to work.

However, I am going to check with the team and get back with you as soon as I have an answer.

Regards, Spencer
