Unable to delete debit card under "Charge Methods"?

I had listed my debit card, but then decided to use my Credit Card instead. I am now unable to delete the debit card because it is associated with “Assigned Marketplaces - Amazon.de, Amazon.se, Amazon.com.be, Amazon.it, Amazon.fr, Amazon.nl, Amazon.pl and Amazon.es”.

It seems I can’t register my credit card as a replacement because I get the message “Your card could not be verified. Please try again.” From the help section it seems that European Amazon websites might not recognise my credit card in those countries.

I found another section on Amazon Seller Central and made sure that my individual account is not registered to sell in Europe and that I only offer shipping options to the UK so it makes no sense that all these European Amazon sites are associated with my debit card.

Why is there no way of deleting a debit card I want to remove?

There has to be a valid charge method for each country otherwise you will be suspended in that country, and then potentially all your accounts may become suspended.

It is in the Amazon Ts&Cs that you must have a valid charge method. Until you are able to provide an alternative, your debit card will be un-delete-able.
