UK only selling

Hi all, Im just going through setup. Registered as Individual seller as only low item seller. Got range of teething problems:

1. I only want to sell in UK, why has it listed several EU countries that need verifying by card. How do I removed all other countries.

2. If your individual seller, Im assuming VAT reg is not required as not a business. Please confirm

Thanks

Firstly, the Individual seller account is ONLY for selling off your own personal second-hand items - is that what you are doing ? - selling off your own uni books ? - if so that is fine, but you cannot list anything as 'New', otherwise they will assume you are a business. If you are actually buying books to sell on for profit, even if used books, then you are classed as a business and need to be registered with HMRC as sole-trader.

To answer your questions:

1. You cannot remove the other countries, but need to make sure they are inactive by placing on holiday settings.

2. VAT registration is not required until you reach a turnover of £85K, which I assume you do not anticipate that ?!,...... but as said earlier, if you intend to buy stock to sell for profit you must register with HMRC and have a BUSINESS seller account on Amazon.
