FBA item being researched

Hello,

48 of my units recently arrived at the warehouse, were selling, however 24 units how now gone into ‘beng researched’ status.

What is this? What is the likely outcome?

Thank you.

They are likely to come back into stock at some point.

However if they don’t then Amazon will know the stock is lost and you can put in a claim to be reimbursed for the missing units. You can only do this when the units are no longer showing as researching and they are marked as lost on the FBA Inventory Ledger report.

Researching is very common, especially if the item has never been listed on Amazon before. We sell a huge range of badges and every time a new one is added, st least one will invariably go into researching. However, no more than 3 or 4 of any ASIN have ever gone into research mode. Everything has also always gone back into stock within about 10 days.
