Amazon Brand Registry and Trademark Process: Should I Do It Myself or Hire a Lawyer?
I want to register my newly created brand with Amazon Brand Registry without any issues. I understand that every step in this process is critical. According to Amazon's documentation, I can handle the trademark (TM) process myself, and even a pending trademark application can be accepted. However, I’m wondering if there’s a difference between doing it myself and working with a lawyer recommended by Amazon.
Using a Lawyer: Does working with a lawyer speed up the process or increase the chances of my trademark being accepted by Brand Registry?
Filing Myself: If I complete the process correctly, will my trademark application be accepted by Brand Registry in the same way?
I’m aware there’s a cost difference between the two approaches, but I want to understand if there are any significant advantages to using a lawyer versus doing it on my own. I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience with this process. Which path do you think is more effective?
Thank you!

Do not use a lawyer recommended by Amazon
It is so overpriced...its astonishing.
You can use any law firm as long as you correctly apply for a trademark. You just need to grab the serial number once you receive it in 2-3 business days.
I have also seen numerous people correctly apply for a USPTO trademark themselves. I have personally brand registered numerious trademarks where the trademark owner was the one who applied for a trademark. (I do not know how they did it. I do not know how to apply for a trademark).
For Brand Registry you need:
1. The serial number of your trademark.
2. The name of your trademark.
3. 5 live images of as many sides of your item as you can. (A live image is an image taken with a smart phone. No digital alternations. Just place your item on a basic table in front of a basic colored wall and take 5 pictures of as many sides of the item as you can...even though there is nothing on the side your are taking a picture of. Amazon likes to see intent that you are showing the entire item).
4. A digital image of your trademark/logo
5. Your merchant ID so you can connect your Seller Central account to the newly registered Brand Registry trademark.

The decision to file a trademark through a Amazon vetted law firm or filing yourself really depends on the seller!
I'll add that with filing through IP Accelerator, you can get quicker access to the protection and building features available to brands in Brand Registry, even while your trademark application is pending. I'll include a post here for more info on benefits.
If you decide to file yourself, please make sure you use a private US attorney that is not sanctioned by the USPTO.
