Listing book without ISBN
Hello - hope you can help. I’m trying to list a number of books which don’t have an ISBN - both published before and after 1973. I’ve used the GTIN exemption approval page and sent in appropriate images of the first book. But it has been refused. I can’t understand why and I’m told to take a screenshot of the error 5665 page which came up when I attempted to list book. But I didn’t get an error 5665 showing anywhere - the book went through the listing with no problem. One refusal stated that the title of my book was the brand name and not the publisher’s name. Is this correct? Also, what happens if the publisher name is only mentioned once - I can’t take 2 images of the same publisher name. I’ve tried asking Amazon but just get form answers which don’t help.

Are you absolutely sure that there is not already a listing for the books ? - searching by title/author - have to say that there are very few that are not on Amazon.

I have pretty much given up attempting to add titles to the catalogue.
The system for manually adding new ASINs in books/BMVD appears to be broken and just sends you round in circles.
There was a recent discussion about it here:

Aparently it’s easy to do if you are a dodgy dropshipper bulk-uploading millions of bogus duplicate ASINs…
If you (or anyone else) finds a way to add pre-ISBN titles individually, please share!
