FBA Fees
Can anyone explain FBA fees ? I currently sell a product for 4.99 amazon (dimensions are 10cmx7cmx3cm and weight is 25g) Amazon take £3.74 to store, pack, deliver etc (Which to be honest I do not feel is too bad for what you get) however I have seen that they do a low FBA fee for items priced under £10 and from what I understand and have seen for items under 80g grams and under certain dimensions which my item is shows a cost of £1.34.
I have read so many things and can not understand if this is what I should be being charged or not. If anyone who understands it better can advise I would be much appreciated as obviously want to make as much profit as possible

it’s all available on the fba rate card
Based on that price weigh and size it looks like it should be a large envelope on low price fba so £2.36
Though storage fees are separate from that and you’d also have the final value referral fee which will depend n the category but is normally 15%

To get to £3.74 you have added both the fulfilment fee and the referral fee together and then added VAT.
You are already on the lower fulfilment fee of £2.36 for small & cheap items, so there's no savings there unless you can pack your item small enough to fit inside the next size tier down.

Don't forget to cost in the £30 per month fee also, if you are registered as a business seller, unless, virtue of your volumes, that is virtually negligible. Based on the info provided, your GM per sale is 416p - 374p, so your bottom line is 42p minus cost of purchase or production, and all other overheads, including getting inventory labelled and into fulfilment centres. Worth looking at in proper detail as Amazon are taking 89.9% of your selling price in FBA fees, unless I have misunderstood.

As others have said, the £3.74 you are being charged is correct. Your item is 3cm thick so doesn't qualify for the £1.34 which has max dimensions of 20 x 15 x 1cm.
Large envelope Low Cost ≤ 33 x 23 x 4cm: £2.36
15.3% referral fees: £0.76
VAT on fees: £0.62
Total: £3.74
