Customer Returned Itam And Amazon Refunded Delviery Charge Too

Hello, @JiAlex_Amazon

A customer ordered some tights and requested next day delivery. It was delivered as planned but the customer has changed their mind and returned the order. Why did Amazon refund the delivery charge as we did everything expected of us?

Please help us?

Thank you,

Dennis

The original delivery charge must be refunded, even for change of mind returns. It's the law although Amazon policy doesn't quite follow the timescales.

What they are not entitled to get back is the cost of returning the item to you, if a change of mind return.

Not much you can do about it other than making sure that your selling price includes a small percentage for the overall cost of returns. We're all in the same boat although personally, I wouldn't sell anything on Amazon that has free returns.

They are only entitled to the basic postal costs if they chose a more expensive way of delivery.

So, for instance if it was Royal Mail 1st LL - £3.05, if they choose to pay for expedited at £8.15, then they are only entitled to the £3.05 unless the item is faulty.
