None of the several credit/debit cards accepted
Hi,
We have been selling in the Amazon UK Seller Central without an issue for years. Our account is healthy without a scratch. Recently I've received an email from Amazon that we had to enter new credit card information for Amazon.de (we are not even selling in Germany!). Despite my several attempts for different credit/debit cards all of which are from proper banks like HSBC and Natwest, with years to their expirations and paying several £1s or €1s each time for re-submission verification attempts, none of the cards have been accepted so far. I submitted a case via chat, but the agent told me that she/he would have to transfer the case to another department, from which I have not heard yet.
Fast advice will be highly appreciated since I cannot access even our UK pages now.
Kind regards,
Alp

Hi,
After spending several hours on the telephone and the screen my problem seems to have been solved.
Feeling the severity of the issue at first hand I would like to tell here how (I think) the problem was solved for the benefit of other sellers who might face the same problem at some point.
Firstly, as I stated earlier, we sell only in the UK, however, the initial warning email came from Amazon.de, asking me to fix my payment on Seller Central. Despite the problem seeming limited to Amazon.de only (where I do NOT sell anything) my whole access to the Seller Central was limited drastically from the first moment.
All my attempts, which included contacting the support team via all possible ways, ticket, chat and telephone produced the same result. Every time I received the same standard script telling me to check my CC number, expiry date, name, address, etc. Needless to say meanwhile I entered probably a dozen credit/debit cards, including personal ones, all of which produced the same result.
Finally (and in desperation) I decided to contact Natwest, the holder of some of the cards which I had already tried. They said that there was no blockage or anything at their end and everything with all my cards was fine. However...(here comes the headline of the day :))... she also added that they were receiving similar complaints from other Amazon sellers recently and the only possible solution she could suggest was to delete my cards from the Seller Central and re-enter them.
I did as she suggested. Firstly it seemed like the attempt didn't work. At the same time, I saw a "verification request" for various Amazon EU sites (.es, .fr, .nl, etc) on the page where we enter payment details. I began to verify each of them one by one. And voila! Suddenly, my full access to Seller Central was open!
I don't know what exactly solved the problem. But I can strongly suggest, deleting and re-entering the card details is definitely worth a try. Apart from that, do everything the screen says, i.e. if she asks you to verify something do it!
I hope this helps. More critically, I hope no one else ever faces this problem :)
Regards,
Alp
