Payment Method not updating

I have been asked to update the payment card across regions. I have done so and it is not updating at all. Anyone able to help with this? I am confident I have followed the procedure correctly. Its been nearly a week.

I got one of these requests to update credit card details this morning in my e-mail. It looked genuine, but just didn't seem quite right, so I deleted the e-mail. My e-mail is not the one linked to our UK account, just to dormant EU accounts. This is one of the occasions when it would be so good to be able to contact a person at Az for re-assurance, not just cut'n'paste robotic "answers"

Hello! @Seller_7p3ZxFzLvqKka

Thank you for bringing this matter into our attention. Others have reported similar issues and is usually related to the type of method you're using, are you using a pre-paid card to verify your payment method?

Other than that, you need to ensure you are meeting the following criteria:

  • The number that you entered must match the number on your credit or debit card.
  • The billing address that you entered must match the billing address on your credit or debit card statement.
  • The CVV code that you entered must match the code on your credit or debit card.
  • The card expiry date must be at least six months from when you add the card.
  • The card holder’s name that you entered must match the card holder’s name on your credit or debit card (in the Latin-script alphabet).
  • The card must not be a prepaid, virtual or gift card.
  • The card must be chargeable in the currency of the Amazon store or stores for which the card is being provided.
  • The card must have adequate credit limit to pay for the charge.
  • If you were asked to enter a unique security code by your financial institution, the code that you entered must match the code sent to the card holder via SMS, email or token.
  • Multi-factor authentication must be completed. For existing cards, please re-add the card in Seller Central and complete the authentication challenge.
