New inventory design

Oh dear. Why has it been changed. The old minimal design was easy to use. This new design just looks like a cluttered mess.

Why keep changing things that just don't need changing?

I agree, but this is Amazon, and they simply make changes for change sake, and rarely an improvement - they have to keep their IT bods in a job !!! Also, my homepage has changed today too !

You can customise it and remove information you don't use to make it less cluttered.

I am slowly getting used to it but I did find the older version quicker to use.

We hear you.

All our products are in Parent & Child combinations so the old style was perfect.... the Parent was the Folder, you clicked to see the Files (Child colour variations).... this hot mess is like going into your MS files and all folders are listed but also all files out of folders too.... there should be an option to filter to Parent only?

I appreciate what Amazon are trying to do, push more effort towards top selling skus but this, considering all the other fundamental issues Amazon have when it comes to inventory management, this is a step too far at a time where sales are precious.

There is an option to go back to the previous manage your inventory but it then says that that option will be withdrawn by 16th September. Let's just hope they make some adjustments by then as I could see no logic to the new one at all as all listings came up in a totaly random order. Oh dear!

I've just tried to alter stock on an item from 0 to 1. Can change it in the box, but can't find a 'save' button to save this. Had to revert back to the old design to do this. Am I missing something...or are Amazon?!

Every time Amazon make a change or bring something new out I find myself saying the same thing.

'Why don't they speak to some sellers first?'

Personally, I prefer the new Manage Inventory page. You can see the competitive price, what's inbound etc. right there. Before you had to look at the SKU central page for this info.

I agree. I sell my own books. It used to be easy, now it doesn't seem to recognise that books are not electronic, have their own ISBN identities, etc etc. I can't work out what they mean by some of the questions because they don't apply to books!

Frustrated and angry!

It feels like Amazon have totally overlooked the needs of the majority of BMVD sellers with this latest 'improvement'.

As I said elesewhere, sellers of books and media items that are already in the catalogue should not be faced with so many options each time they simply want to update, say, a listing image or a condition note.

For used books and discs especially, it is absurd that Amazon requires us to scroll past so many irrelevant attributes under the 'offer' tab when trying to do a quick edit:

Country/Region of Origin

Dangerous Goods Regulations

GHS Statement

GDPR Risk

Product Site Launch Date

Gift Options

etc etc

You can hide most of these by choosing the 'Recommended' view but then you lose the 'Offer Condition Note' box which is by far the most important one when it comes to used items.
