Amazon FBA Multiple Orders

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help?

We are looking at sending item into amazon to set up FBA, but i wondered what happens if we have multiply order for the same person, do we get charged twice for postage, even if they send two different item in the same parcel?

And second, what are the charges on postage for item that are under £5, as margins are very small, and wondered what the postage would be for small items?

TIA

George

If the 2 items are on the same order you should only be charged one postage.

You can use the revenue calculator to calculate all Amazon costs - sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/revcal

Make sure you include all your costs, any packaging needed, carrier costs etc

The FBA charges are PER ITEM, even for same items in the same parcel.

Re the £5 question, FBA will probably be uneconomic but you need to check the rate card as it depends on size/weight of the item, not the item cost. Some sellers make FBA on cheap items work for them.

It's not the easiest to interpret.

page 5

Local & Pan-European

UK fulfilment cost £1.34 for 8-g or less, £1.69 up to 210g

plus storage cost plus VAT

Please double check, don't take my word.

I hope this help you.

The FBA fees are per unit. If a customer orders two units of the same product from you (whether it's the same order or separate ones), you'll be charged the FBA fee x 2.

You don't actually benefit with fulfilment fees where there are multiple units, this cost saving is only for Amazon.

In terms of items under £5, it depends on a couple of things. Your products should be eligible for Low-Priced FBA Fees (this took over Small & Light last year so don't look at anything Small & Light related).

Here's the FBA Fee rate card: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/G/02/sell/images/240523-FBA-Rate-Card-UK_2.pdf?initialSessionID=261-1475243-4062148&ld=NSGoogle&ldStackingCodes=NSGoogle

For Low-Price FBA Fees, check out page 5 and see what size category and weight band your product falls into. This only applies to products below £10.

Depending on the category that you sell in, you may also qualify for lower Referral Fees. Health & Personal Care as an example goes from 15.3% (if you sell the product for over £10) or drops to 8.16% if you sell below £10.

I once had a product for £ 3.84GBP, and a buyer bought 40 at once with a VAT of £ 26.40. The shipping cost was 120.28GBP, but I only got 10.62GBP,

40 products are less than 2KG, as the individual weight is less than 50g. Ha ha ha
