can you respond to them in real time though? have a back and forth with them? i always argue with the live chat on eb** until they understand my issue, if not i try again until i get through to someone who does. it wastes a lot of my time though.

We have seen this too - frustrating as the person I was chatting to had told me the best way to move forward with our problem was by emailing them with all the relevant attachments! Lo and behold, when I go back to email it only offers me the chat option!
When I went back and chatted to another member of Seller Support about the lack of email option they were in the dark too as to why the email option wasn't there now so they don't seem to know.

I just open a new case and ask them to reference the old case.
All very time consuming.
It makes no difference though. Still never get a resolution.

Ah, I have just been told that if I do that it is considered abusive behaviour and it is not allowed.
The following duplicate case actions are not permitted:
New case seeking a different outcome than the one granted on an existing case
New case requesting a status update on an existing case
New case addressing a subset of the issue addressed in an existing case
New case to readdress an addressed issue by coupling it with a new issue
So you are right, Seller Support have now made it almost impossible to communicate with them.

I had this happen on a case before I thought it was strange as I'd never seen this before, but the representative on the live support was actually helpful unlike the seller support associate and actually resolved my query

all seller support is rubbish. Worst ever in the entire world. They should be ashamed for having such a bad service. They never solve a single issue. Terrible at best

Also it is frustrating to make them understand again on chat. And when the person on chat open an internal case they fail to understand the original issue. It's like going round and round without any resolution.
