Question about Polybag prep requirement on groceries
Hi,
Can anyone tell me, While doing FBA, do we need to wrap coffee or sugar in a polybag which are already coming in company’s own branded packaging of polybag. do we need another polybag on top of it?
It puts us at a competitive disadvantage because prep center charges 50p for poly bag plus FNSKU and shipping on top of that.
While not knowing if other FBA sellers are getting away without polybag its frustrating.
Please advice from your experience.
Thank you

If its already inside one then it doesn’t need another but you need to be certain it’s secure, will pass the drop test and would be OK to send with limited additional packaging.
To clarify though, if it’s, for example, a pouch of coffee, it will most likely need an outer bag adding.

You could always order a unit from another FBA seller and see how they are doing this.
There is nothing wrong with doing this as long provided you don’t leave feedback or a review.

Assuming that the bag that contains the coffee/sugar is of a reasonably strong plastic, I wouldn’t be overly concerned with double packing, in a second plastic bag.
Basically, if you can drop it to the floor from about 4 ft high and it doesn’t split, it’s not an issue.
I sell a similar type product in granular form, in 1kg bags that has no additional wrapping.
I’ve yet to have an issue with breakages.
