VTR Amazon must be joking right?

VTR

We have done everything asked , we use C&D at Royal Mail, this produces a number that shows on each order. This was what Amazon wanted. Amazon now are forcing us into sending everything tracked, our items are so small value that this is not viable. Amazons reason for going through C&D was to prove that postage had been purchased and executed, and we have done this, any failure is Amazons system and not ours.

Nightmare!

What method of postage are you using?

The primary issue is still around 1st and 2nd Class letters specifically (note not large letters), as they are the only ones that have to be bought via Amazon Buy Shipping.

Others, you should be OK - though the pros at VTR are few and far between. All I can advise is we used Royal Mail 48, had a VTR of 80% most of the time and we got VTR warnings, but amazon were still validating in the background.

As usual - a sharing of your VTR report would help.

Also worth asking - how have amazon communicated to you that you must send everything tracked?

Is this post because you got an email/performance notification about VTR?

If you're posting things the way you've ironed out in your previous threads, it should be OK. We've been getting the emails for 2 years but since we post in line with policy, Amazon verify the tracking numbers, and we've never had listings suspended.

I recall many posts by you (on the old style forum) regarding the whole VTR thing and how to link your C&D account correctly.

What is your current problem ? - are you getting warning emails ? If so and you have linked your C&D account correctly then you can ignore them as your shipments will be validated in the background.

You DO NOT need to send everything tracked - how are they forcing you ?! - for low value items is really is a waste of money.

I seldom send anything tracked - only those over about £20 value and I have a VTR of 100%.

You DO need to buy Letter size postage using Amazon's Buy Shipping.

if you use CRL its fine and for large letter under 100g its only 1.29 something

We use BPL 1st/2nd on our LL instead of CRL RM24/48 through Click and Drop and our VTR is quite often in the low 20% range. We get regular emails warning us about out low VTR since it started but nothing has happened.

C&D upload the delivery confirmation tracking number and all is ok.

The only reason its not 0% is because parcels go out via Yodel.

As long as you use C&D and upload the "tracking" ref then you should be ok. Just ignore the warnings.

Just use Amazon buy shipping. The charges are all linked to your RM account, so you get your usual standard pricing. Amazon don't get any extra for this. All your usual posting, packing and bagging, manifesting is the same (your manifest through amazon instead of your RM account)

The upshot is that your VTR will be 100% all the time.

Seems silly, but it works.

You don't need to send low value and small items tracked. The original thing a year or two back wasn't worded very well and you could have interpreted it as saying everything had to be tracked, but it wasn't.
